Cavelti takes over Zehnder Druck
Cavelti, a publishing and media company based in Gossau, is acquiring the printing division of Zehnder Print in Wil. The real estate and magazine divisions will remain with the company, which will now be known as Zehnder & Zehnder.

<<Since none of their children will take over the print shop, Andreas (57) and Jacqueline Zehnder were looking for a sustainable solution for their employees and customers. Thanks to the takeover of the printing division by Cavelti AG, Gossau, led by business owner Claudio Cavelti (35), this promising successor for the future was found.
The real estate and magazines will remain with Zehnder Print AG, which will be renamed Zehnder & Zehnder AG as a result of the sale of the printing plant.
The main concern of the owner couple was to secure long-term employment for as many employees as possible. Cavelti AG not only takes on all five apprentices, but also most of the employees. For employees with a total of 1.8 full-time equivalents, a follow-up solution is still being sought. "I am convinced that we have found a promising solution with Cavelti in Gossau," emphasizes Andreas Zehnder. Both companies are not only firmly anchored in the region, but also maintain a similar tradition as owner-managed family businesses.
Customer service and prepress will remain at Hubstrasse in Wil. "Customer proximity and optimum on-site support are very important to us," says Claudio Cavelti, explaining this move. Printing and finishing will take place at Cavelti's premises in Gossau from this summer.
Customers and employees should benefit
Not only the employees benefit from the takeover, but also the customers of Zehnder Druckerei are offered new opportunities. The strengths of Zehnder Druckerei in high-quality sheetfed printing (digital and offset), finishing and dispatch are ideally complemented by Cavelti AG. Customers now have access to a larger sheet format. In addition, Cavelti AG has set new standards in cross-media communication in Eastern Switzerland in recent years. "The expertise of Zehnder's employees and the long-standing customer relationships are a great opportunity for us. With the takeover, we want to strengthen our customer portfolio and exploit synergies in the area of print production," says Claudio Cavelti.
