"Bring en hei!" - The person behind Baschi in the spotlight
A new documentary on oneplus shows Swiss musician Baschi in a way few people have seen him before. From self-doubt before performances to his emotional return to Gelterkinden: an intimate look into the emotional world of the Basel-Landschaft native.
With "Bring en hei! Baschi's emotional journey home", the streaming service oneplus is releasing a documentary from November 20 that shows a new side to the well-known musician. The 45-minute production follows Baschi just before his most emotional concert: the big home show in his home town of Gelterkinden (BL).
The film begins 12 hours before the performance and sheds light not only on the singer's nerve-wracking preparations, but also on the people who accompany him. In addition to Baschi himself, companions such as manager Raoul Hüppi, wife Alana Netzer and fellow musician Dabu Bucher have their say. They talk about the balancing act between ramp sow and thoughtful artist that has characterized Baschi for 20 years.
With platinum and gold-decorated albums and sold-out concerts, the musician has long been part of Swiss cultural heritage. But behind the successful façade, the 38-year-old struggles with self-doubt before every performance. The film reveals intimate insights into this unknown side and at the same time documents the magic of a very special concert that remains unforgettable for both Baschi and his fans.
