The launch of the new digital presence is accompanied by a new marketing campaign designed by Jonas Bünter from Brunnen. "Our new slogan - The messenger brings it - can be understood ambiguously," says Schmidig. Technically, the digital platform was developed by the company Fidion in Würzburg, the previous CMS partner of the MessengerThe e-paper functions have also been modernized.

About the strategy MessengerEditor-in-chief Flurina Valsecchi: "We consistently do on the web what is also our great strength in print: reporting on what is happening on our readers' doorstep. With news and background information, we show what's happening in society, politics, culture and sport in the canton of Schwyz every day."
In concrete terms, this means: "We will of course continue to offer our news section," says Valsecchi. "We will now display further editorial research for subscribers not only in print, but also on the web."
Several new features were also launched with the relaunch: The editorial team now sends out three newsletters - in addition to the daily news and background information from the region, there is also a local culture and regional sports newsletter that is published weekly. Each Schwyz municipality will also have its own presence. "We not only publish our research here, but also present texts from our readership, such as letters to the editor and reports on clubs, events and sports. The submissions have a long tradition at the Boten, which is now also being taken into account in the digital version." For this purpose a platform where readers can simply submit their entries via a form.
Furthermore, readers can now choose between five different subscriptions select.
Editorial team now works for both channels
This change means that both the users and the company will be able to benefit from the change. Messenger-employees a major innovation. "We now work channel-neutral with Woodwing Studio. This also allows our small editorial team to work for both print and online," explains Flurina Valsecchi. This system change, which was technically implemented by a&f Systems, has completely restructured the workflows.
