Blick TV launches new format "Adela, please choose me!"

Former «Bachelorette» contestant Adela Smajic is one of the Swiss citizens who don't vote. The six-part reality series "Adela, Please Vote for Me" aims to change that. Four National Council members want to encourage her and other non-voters to participate and convince them of their party and its platform.

Starting Monday, Adela Smajic will meet four politicians from the Federal Council parties for Blick TV in the new reality format "Adela, please vote for me". The goal of the political pros: to get the vote of the presenter and columnist. That's no easy task, because Adela will be asking the candidates a lot of questions during the dates.

SVP National Councilor Diana Gutjahr, for example, tries her luck with Adela while playing bocce together in Bern's Rose Garden - and wants to score points with the topic of vocational training. FDP National Councilor Marcel Dobler uses liquid and solid arguments to promote freedom and prosperity at the Aperölen. SP National Councilor Tamara Funiciello brings up the subject of "poverty in Switzerland" while drawing up a worry barometer. And center national councilor Simon Stadler gets creative. He designs an election poster and focuses on the topics of family, marriage and the marriage penalty.

There is already a first success for the politicians. "I often put in an empty list in elections. But when I talked to the politicians, I sensed that they care about Switzerland and are committed to its issues - quite the opposite of the stereotypes of dry politics. This time I will definitely vote for a party," says Adela, a previous non-voter.

"We had great fun letting the two genres of reality TV and politics meet," says Blick TV producer Alexander Wenger. "I hope that we can not only entertain users with this mix, but also persuade the undecided to vote."
The six-part TV format "Adela, please vote for me" is now available on Blick TV, Blick.ch and in the printed newspaper. On September 20, the last episode will reveal which party Adela's heart beats for on October 22.
