...until reptiloids take over the world in the end

Following the launch of the Swiss Media Publishers Association’s «Credibility Works Better» campaign, the second phase is now underway. Just like in the radio spots, the new TV spot also takes viewers into the sometimes absurd worlds of social media.

Who hasn't experienced this themselves? After just a few minutes of scrolling through social media, you think you're in a fantasy world or are inclined to believe fake news. The increasing use of artificial intelligence further blurs the boundaries between the real and perceived world... until reptiloids take over the world in the end.

This is precisely where the "Credibility works better" campaign of the VSM. While the print, online and (digital) out-of-home campaign focused on rational wordplay, the TV ad, like the radio spots, relies on humorous exaggeration: after exploding Battery charging techniques and Craft glue face masks reptiloid politicians are now taking over after the Radio spot world domination also in the TV spot.

Easier booking and reporting

The VSM initiative also includes two studies on the advertising and consumer market. The results show that advertising in journalistic media is perceived as more credible, professional and likeable compared to social media - and consumers are more willing to buy. The PwC study showed potential with regard to a joint booking platform - the four major publishers TX Group, Ringier, CH Media and NZZ have therefore OneDSP was launched, an important first step.

It is now even easier for advertisers to set up their campaigns in Swiss media: In just a few steps, the budget, duration and performance indicators can be set, target groups precisely defined and reporting and transparent evaluations created - including continuous optimization. This means that up to 4 million people in Switzerland can be reached, 1.5 million of whom can even be addressed directly.

Advertising francs pay off twice over

Advertisements, posters and VSM radio and TV commercials are currently raising awareness: advertising in journalistic Swiss media pays off twice over. On the one hand, companies invest their advertising francs more efficiently, and on the other, they are committed to a strong and independent media landscape. After all, if ever larger portions of advertising budgets flow to international tech giants in Silicon Valley or China, Swiss publishers and fact-checked information offerings will be weakened.
