Bauhaus: With its own magazine again after 80 years

The first issue of the revived Bauhaus magazine is set to be published just in time for the Leipzig Book Fair. The Bauhaus Dessau Foundation plans to publish it biannually, thereby continuing a tradition that was interrupted 80 years ago.

The magazine was published quarterly after the opening of the Bauhaus building in Dessau from 1926 to 1931, the foundation announced on Thursday according to SDA. At that time, it reported on Bauhaus events and important trends in modernism. The new magazine under the old name will contain news from the Bauhaus world as well as essays and interviews. The first Bauhaus issue is dedicated to the topic of art - on the occasion of the exhibition on the Bauhaus artist Kurt Kranz (1910-1997). (SDA)
