Farmers' association: Media prize awarded for the third time
The Swiss Farmers' Union (SBV) presented awards for journalistic work for the third time on Thursday. The two SBV Media Awards, each worth 3,000 francs, went to a journalist from the French-Swiss television station and to editors at *Der Beobachter*.
The Beobachter journalists Martin Müller, Susanne Loacker (text) and Stefan Kubli (photos) described the economic impact of organic farming on farmers in their article "The organic illusion", the SBC reported on Thursday.
Jean-Bernard Menoud received the French-speaking Switzerland prize for his program "Oh la vache!" on French-speaking Swiss television. The program portrays five dairy farmers and uses their examples to explain the problematic situation on the milk market. (SDA)
