Basel "CH Media" newspapers appear as joint title
The two sister newspapers, BZ Basel and BZ Basellandschaftliche Zeitung, have been published under a single title since Monday. They will henceforth be published under the name «BZ – Newspaper for the Basel Region,» as announced by the publisher CH Media.

The newly launched daily newspaper reports on politics, culture, business and society in the cantons of Basellandschaft, Basel-Stadt and Schwarzbubenland in Solothurn. The paper has a circulation of around 25,000 copies.
The newspaper will be produced by editors in Basel and Liestal BL. The publishing house did not say in the press release whether the unification of the two existing newspapers would result in job cuts.
"The city and the countryside may tick differently on some issues," Editor-in-Chief Patrick Marcolli is quoted as saying. "Nevertheless, it is clear that the two half-cantons have long since grown together into a single living space." The uniform title better reflects this fact.
CH Media's other newspapers have also been appearing in a slightly new layout since Monday. In addition, the publisher introduced newly designed newspaper headers in the cantons of Aargau, Solothurn and Zurich.
CH Media is a Swiss media company that was founded in 2018 as a joint venture between the NZZ Media Group and AZ Medien. It employs around 2,200 people in Switzerland and comprises digital platforms, daily and weekly newspapers, magazines and TV and radio stations. (SDA)
Until now, the CH-Media titles for the two Basel regions have appeared in two different editions:
