Axel Springer sells Haustech to AZ Medien

Axel Springer Switzerland has sold the trade journal *Haustech* to AZ Medien. The two publishers did not disclose the sale price.

The takeover of the title and its employees is retroactive to October 1, according to a joint media release issued on Thursday. With the takeover, AZ Medien is supplementing its portfolio of trade magazines in the building technology sector. AZ Medien's magazine division publishes special interest magazines such as Wir Eltern, Kochen, Fitforlife and Natürlich, as well as trade publications for home technology and industry. According to the company, the acquisition of Haustech will provide a useful addition to its product range in the building services sector, with the existing titles HK-Gebäudetechnik, Elektrotechnik ET and Bâtitech (French-speaking Switzerland), and further expand its expertise. The portfolio of technical trade magazines also includes the titles Technica, Megalink and Chemie plus, which are geared to the industrial sector.

In the business segment, Axel Springer Schweiz intends to concentrate on the titles Handelszeitung, Bilanz, PME Magazine, Schweizer Bank and Schweizer Versicherung.
