Call for entries for the seventh CNN Journalist Award
The news channel CNN International is once again offering the CNN Journalist Award this year. Up-and-coming journalists from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can apply for the CNN Journalist Award starting now through September 30, 2011.
The award honors outstanding achievements in foreign journalism and will be presented in Munich in spring 2012. For the seventh time, the international news channel is presenting the CNN Journalist Award in the print, radio, TV and online categories for articles with an international focus. This year, entries can once again be submitted in the photo category. The most meaningful pictures of a news event or reportage will be honored.

The first publication must have taken place between August 1, 2010 and September 30, 2011. An independent jury of representatives from various areas of the German-language media landscape is responsible for nominating and evaluating the entries. So far, these have included Uli Baur (Focus), Dominik Wichmann (Stern), Franz Fischlin (Schweizer Fernsehen) and Ingrid Thurnher (ORF).
