Arte gets new face
From Monday, the Franco-German cultural channel Arte will be presenting itself to its audience in a new look, in which designers from five different countries, including Switzerland, have been involved.
According to SDA, the core of the new look is a longer, kaleidoscopic story in which Arte wants to go on a journey with many people, young and old, by day and by night. These images will be used whenever the program is interrupted by short breaks, as was reported on Thursday.
The Swiss Benjamin Cuénod, who works in Munich, invented the so-called on-air design, the overall look. Dutch artist Joost Korngold developed the Arte logo for the screen as a 3D sculpture. Belgian director Joe Vanhoutteghem was responsible for the recognition spots. German designer Axel Schildt was in charge of the online appearance. The artist Catherine Lagarde produced the audio design for the acoustic recognition with the Paris-based French composer Laurent Parisi.
