Andy Fischer leaves Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich
Managing Editor-in-Chief Andy Fischer has decided to leave the Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich at the end of August 2016 to take up a new position as Publishing Director at SMH Verlag in Zurich.
Andy Fischer joined the Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich (Werbewoche.ch reported). According to the press release, he made a significant contribution to the further development of the Tagblatt's content into a modern city magazine in recent years and was responsible for the comprehensive redesign in 2015. In addition, Andy Fischer has succeeded in leading the Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich to economic success in a difficult market environment.
Andy Fischer can look back on a career of more than twenty years in the media industry. After working for Radio Zürichsee and Radio Z, where he was chief reporter and deputy editor-in-chief, he joined 20 Minuten in 2001. At the commuter newspaper, he first headed the Zurich department before being appointed deputy editor-in-chief in 2004.
