Andi Merki is the new head of sports at Tele Züri

Effective August 1, 2015, Andi Merki will take over as sports director at Tele Züri. He succeeds Philippe Schmuki, who, after 16 years at Tele Züri, is taking over as production manager for SRF’s «Samstig Jass.».

Andi Merki has been a video journalist at Tele Züri since 2008. The 34-year-old is one of the station's most experienced editorial staff members. Andi Merki previously learned the journalistic craft from scratch for four years at Radio Energy in various positions. In recent years, Merki has reported for TeleZüri on all major sporting events such as the Olympic Games in London, the Football World Cup in Brazil and the Ski World Cup in Vail, USA. He is currently also the producer of the "Brack.ch Fussball Arena".
