Aargauer Zeitung launches "My community"
The Aargauer Zeitung AZ is launching «Meine Gemeinde», a new service for Aargau residents on Aargauerzeitung.ch. Readers write contributions, the best of which are regularly published in the newspaper.
At Aargauerzeitung.ch/community articles can now not only be written specifically for each municipality, but can also be accessed by those interested in the municipality by location and zip code, according to a press release issued by the Aargauer Zeitung on Wednesday. In addition, existing club and event information, editorial coverage and real estate offers will be bundled together on the website for each municipality. As of July 1, "Meine Gemeinde" will also be open to municipal authorities and administrations.
The "AZ-Netz" is an association of the news portals of the daily newspapers of AZ Medien and is consistently continuing its strategy of focusing on regional markets, which has been successful since September 2010, according to a press release. The expansion of "Meine Gemeinde" to the Basel and Solothurn regions will take place over the course of the year.
