20 Minuten becomes a member of Igem
The Interessengemeinschaft elektronische Medien (Igem) has been committed to the diversity and transparency of electronic media in Switzerland for 27 years. This year, Igem is strengthening itself twice over: another news platform, 20 Minuten, is joining Igem, and its representative Mehmet Inan has been newly elected to the board.
Since it was founded in 1998, Igem has championed the interests of the electronic media. 45 companies were invited to the 27th general meeting. The members confirmed President Stephan Küng of TWmedia and the previous board members, who all stood for re-election, in their positions.
Expansion of the Executive Board
With the election of Mehmet Inan from 20 minutes the Board of Directors was expanded by one person. "I am extremely pleased that so many managers are involved in the Board," says Igem President Küng. "This is by no means a matter of course and underlines the importance of Igem - especially in times of media change."
Reinforcement through 20 minutes
With the accession of 20 minutes Igem continues to grow and now has a total of 45 company members. Stephan Küng is delighted: "Igem makes a significant contribution to the market. We greatly appreciate our many long-standing and loyal member companies. At the same time, it is a strong signal that new companies are still joining us after more than 25 years - this confirms the relevance of Igem for electronic media in Switzerland."
Commitment to the future of electronic media
Igem is actively committed to liberal advertising opportunities in order to maintain and strengthen the diversity of electronic media in Switzerland. Stephan Küng emphasizes: "Digitalization is changing all electronic media and turning them into digital media. This brings with it new challenges. Our annual Digimonitor study provides transparency here and is an important basis for strategy development."
The Igem Board currently consists of Chairman Stephan Küng from TWmedia and Vice Chairman Alexander Duphorn from Goldbach Media as well as the other Board members Florian Wanner, CH Media, Frank Zelger, Admeira, Jonas Eliassen, Havas, Juliane Fankhauser-Merz, Weischer.Cinema Schweiz, Mehmet Inan, 20 Minuten, Raoul Gerber, Goldbach Group, Roger Baur, Ringier, Sandra Fehr, Nova Impact, Tarkan Özküp, CH Media and Xavier Reynaud, GroupM.
