ZSPR with new president

The Central Switzerland PR Society has elected a new president and two new board members.Andrea Helfenstein, a consultant at the Bolzern communications agency in Kriens, and Karin Helfenstein, head of public relations at the Migros Luzern cooperative, complete the board to nine members. During the past year, there were two departures. Alex Herrmann, communications manager at IBM Switzerland, will take over the presidency. Herrmann wants to communicate the importance of the industry to the outside world through events in Central Switzerland. "The PR market in Central Switzerland is still capable of development," he says. "A lot of things happen in very small agencies, and you can feel the pull of Zurich.
Through his professional activities in Zurich, the new president can also maintain good contacts with the Zurich PR Society. "This is also how joint events have already come about, for example in Zug," says Herrmann. "We are trying to make sure that the pull goes a little in the other direction as well." (ba)
