Westiform labels Socar gas stations

Westiform has applied signage to the first four gas stations operated by the energy company Socar Energy Switzerland. The branding elements were unveiled on Tuesday during a Socar Energy press conference in Zurich.

They are equipped with energy-saving technology. Socar acquired all the shares in Esso Switzerland from Exxon Mobil this summer, and with them the network of 160 Esso-branded service stations. For the step into the Swiss market, Socar founded the Swiss company Socar Energy Switzerland and commissioned a new corporate design from Jung von Matt/brand identity. Westiform was able to produce the prototypes for the branding elements and is now equipping the first Socar filling stations in Zurich with light weave elements.

In addition to the roof band with logo and lettering, an electronic display pole that can be updated remotely, Westiform supplies facade bands as well as tensioned fabric advertising surfaces. The elements from Westiform are intended to reflect the company's quality and premium standards. The surfaces deserve special attention: A flame pattern was applied to a silk-matt background using high-gloss mirror varnish. During the day (unlit) as well as at night (illuminated), it should appear discreet and have a lively effect, as the light advertiser writes in a statement on Wednesday. The advertising elements from Westiform require a minimum of electricity - on average, half of a conventional gas station signage. Special LEDs, which are optimally distributed in the illuminant and have a high luminous efficacy, ensure perfect and at the same time power-saving illumination.

As a total contractor, Westiform takes care of the project from A to Z, from the conception of the illuminated advertising to the final installation. Westiform's customers include Coop, Manor, Alpiq, Axa Winterthur, Schindler, Autoneum, or Hapimag.
