VgT sues local radio stations
The Association Against Animal Factories (VgT) is suing Radio Grischa and Radio 32 because they shortened a commercial.
The Association Against Animal Factories (VgT) is suing Radio Grischa and Radio 32 because they cut four seconds from the 45-second original, while Grischa cut ten seconds. Pauses between speech passages fell victim to the scissors. The VgT was neither asked for approval nor informed afterwards. As the full price was charged, the animal rights activists see fraudulent intent at work. Both stations justified their actions as normal. The VgT believes that local radio stations are trying to fit more spots into the statutory advertising time. Radio sales manager Felix Kirchsperger from Radiotele believes this is unlikely, as hardly any stations are fully booked these days. However, arbitrary cuts are of course not permitted (sm).
