Update: Online help for parents in need
The Mütterhilfe Foundation is kicking off its 81st year with a new website. The website was designed and developed by the Zurich-based agency Update.
Since 1932, the Mothers' Aid Foundation has been supporting pregnant women, mothers, fathers and their partners when they are in psychological and/or financial distress. The aim of the politically and denominationally neutral institution was and is to relieve them of their greatest worries so that they can devote themselves to their child and the establishment of a stable parenthood with courage and confidence.
With the newly designed and built Website Mütterhilfe is stepping up its activities on the Internet. With just a few clicks, people seeking advice can find out about the social counseling, family support and parenting therapy services on offer. After registering, they can also access the free online advice service, where experts answer queries quickly, personally and individually. A download area for leaflets and brochures as well as an overview of helpful addresses complete the range of help on offer.
Simple donations
However, the new website is not only worth a visit for those affected, but also for specialists and supporters. The former will find information on the courses offered by the Mothers' Aid Foundation, while the latter will find simple ways to support the institution, which is financed exclusively by donations, contributions and legacies - be it with a financial donation via payment slip, e-banking or online with a credit card, or by donating baby and toddler clothes, toys and equipment that are no longer needed, which Mothers' Aid can pass on to parents in need via its free exchange.
The new Mütterhilfe website was designed and implemented by the Zurich-based internet and media agency Update. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the various target groups - those affected, specialists, donors and sponsors - can quickly find the information relevant to them. The PHP framework and content management system "processwire" is used as the technical foundation.
