UBS & TBWA\Zurich for the women's national team and young talent

In July, Switzerland will host the Women’s European Soccer Championship. For more than 15 years, UBS has supported women’s and girls« soccer as the main partner of the Swiss Football Association (SFV). Ahead of the kickoff of the home European Championship, UBS is launching its new communications initiative, »Turning Dreams into Opportunities.”.

Thousands of girls dream of becoming a soccer player. UBS helps to make this dream come true. This is the core message of the initiative surrounding the tournament, which was developed by TBWA\Zurich. The dream of advancing to the European Championship, the dream of a professional career or the dream of scoring the first goal on the pitch - this is what unites seasoned national team players like Lia Wälti with young talents or girls taking their first steps in football.

With its multifaceted commitment, UBS is ensuring that more and more of these dreams are brought to life. This is symbolized by one of the initiative's key visuals: the bank of opportunities. From national team stars to up-and-coming talent, there is room for everyone on it, demonstrating the continuity of UBS's support. An emotional connection to our own dreams is represented by the second key visual, the children's room. A TV commercial for the major event makes it tangible how a dream becomes an opportunity. The dream world aesthetic provides a deliberate contrast to the often classic football staging.

UBS's commitment is not only of a financial nature - such as the equal bonuses for the men's and women's national teams - but is also reflected in projects such as the UBS Football Cup for school teams and the new UBS Football for Girls initiative. With age-appropriate and playful learning programs, girls as young as six are introduced to football and can take their first steps on the road to the big dream in schools and clubs.

This is another reason why UBS is showcasing a young talent, 11-year-old Argjira, alongside well-known faces such as Sydney Schertenleib, Alayah Pilgrim and Naomi Luyet - and with the jersey blanket also provides the right fan paraphernalia for dreaming.

In addition to TV, (D)OOH and print, the 360-degree campaign will be played out with a strong digital focus, supplemented with a wide range of content on social channels and with measures in the stores - such as exclusive fan caps. The strong team of measures also includes customer events, autograph sessions in the stores, fan posters, exclusive experiences such as a training session with the stars or a mural on a school square in Muri AG.
