Swisscom goes digital TV

Cable networks Swisscom is launching a new attack on Cablecom's sinecure: having already tested the distribution of television signals via telephone cable, the telecommunications group is now also launching a range of digital TV channels for cable network operators. "Premium Digital TV" comprises various channel packages that have been put together according to areas of interest or languages. The cable network companies take over all or some of these channels from Swisscom Broadcast and equip their end customers with the necessary decoders.
