Studio Roth&Maerchy: Beyond good and evil

A new exhibition at the Stapferhaus Lenzburg sheds light on the role of money in everyday life and in social coexistence. The overall presentation, exhibition graphics and publication were developed by Studio Roth&Maerchy.

Money gives us wings and puts us in shackles. It is the measure of all things and not worth mentioning. If faith in the franc breaks down, the nickel in the bag is just a piece of metal. The value of a share is also a commitment curve: it rises as long as investors believe in the future success of the company. This is the background to the exhibition's appearance - a tongue-in-cheek allusion to the metaphor of faith, religious symbolism and rhetoric: Money - Beyond Good and Evil.

Studio Roth&Maerchy was already the lead communication and design agency for "Entscheiden", last year's major success at the Stapferhaus (110,000 visitors). For the new "Money" theme, the Zurich-based studio was involved in the project development at an early stage together with scenographer Alain Rappaport. The result is an equally sensual and ambiguous realization of the complex theme.

In addition to developing the exhibition graphics and all means of communication, Studio Roth&Maerchy is responsible for the conception and realization of the exhibition publication - designed in a high-quality bible format with contributions from Katja Gentinetta (SRF Sternstunde Philosophie), Peer Teuwsen (journalist, NZZ), the party presidents Christian Levrat and Philipp Müller, star economist Tomáš Sedláček and many more.
