City of love: according to an Ebookers evaluation, Zurich is the new Paris
Europeans prefer to spend Valentine's Day in Zurich this year. This is shown by the survey of the top 10 travel destinations by the online travel agency Ebookers.ch.
Zurich is the most booked destination on the days before, after and on Valentine's Day itself, followed by London, Berlin and Amsterdam. Geneva is another Swiss city in 5th place. Paris, the real city of love, barely made it into the top 10 this year. Zurich seems to be the new Paris.

The new travel year is off to an auspicious start. This is reflected in the latest survey of the top Valentine's Day destinations by Switzerland's leading online travel agency. Europeans prefer Swiss cities to Valentine's Day classics such as Paris and Vienna. Zurich is the frontrunner in this year's Ebookers.ch ranking. Zurich therefore seems to be the new Paris. In second, third and fourth place are the well-known capitals London, Berlin and Amsterdam. Geneva follows in fifth place. The city on Lake Geneva also enjoyed great popularity in 2017. According to the survey, Switzerland is very popular with Europeans as a tourist destination. Vienna, Barcelona, Hamburg and Lisbon are ranked 6th to 8th. The supposedly most romantic city in the world only just made it into the top ten: the French capital Paris.
