TV On June 1, SRG officially launches terrestrial digital television (DVB-T) in the Lake Geneva region.Initial tests have been running since early spring. According to the timetable given to the SRG by the Swiss Confederation with the concession, the Bassin Lémanique should have been able to enjoy DVB-T as early as autumn 2004. The technology is already established in the Engadine and Ticino. DVB-T makes it possible to receive more channels than before via indoor or indoor antennas. This is primarily intended to ensure coverage of SRG's national stations in other languages. The whole of Switzerland is to be covered by 2009.
