SPD buys Frankfurter Rundschau
Party Press: The SPD is acquiring a 90 percent stake in the *Frankfurter Rundschau*. The Karl Gerold Foundation will retain a 10 percent stake in the financially struggling newspaper.
Party press The SPD takes over 90 percent of the Frankfurter Rundschau. The purchase agreement stipulates that the Rundschau is to remain national, independent and left-liberal. The Social Democrats emphasized that they did not want to remain the majority shareholder in the long term.
