SFLB: Even retailers ordered Gecko Emmentaler

With the launch of the Gecko Emmental on April 1, Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett and Emmentaler Switzerland didn't just pull the wool over Switzerland's eyes. But this story isn't over yet.

Four retailers who wanted to include the Gecko Emmental in their range proved that the campaign was not dismissed as an April Fool's joke by everyone. Or all those who booked a gecko safari with Emmental Tourism. Even in the Arab part of the world, many were looking forward to the exotic cheese from Switzerland too soon - even the news channel Al Jazeera wrote a report on Gecko technology. This is what the SFLB agency writes in a press release.

100,000 viral spot clicks, 300 Facebook posts and 50 media releases later, more than a thousand interested people visited the Emmentaler stand on Bärenplatz in Bern on April 1 to taste the world premiere for themselves.

The Gecko Emmental was launched at the end of March. According to the TV commercial, a viral film, advertisements and the press release, it is even more harmonious. Together with the ALP research institute, it was discovered that the cows are stressed by the flies buzzing around them, which has a negative impact on milk quality. This problem was solved quite simply: one gecko on each cow and the flies are eaten, the cows are de-stressed, the milk is even more harmonious and the cheese is even better.
