Switzerland successful at the Golden Award of Montreux

Despite strong international competition, Swiss advertisers won two gold medals and five Finalist Awards at the 2016 Golden Awards. Havas took home two gold medals, while Lichtspiele, Konform, and MCI each received a Finalist Award.

Gold went to Havas in Posters for "Pause" (Zurich Chamber Orchestra) and in Film for "Buzz Aldrin" (Swiss Tourism). Finalist Awards went to Lichtspiele in Corporate Film for "Heartbeat of Switzerland" for SBB and Konform for "St. Gallen is building the world's largest newspaper" in Spatial Communication. MCI received a Finalist Award in Event for "IFA Basel Congress 2015".

The Golden Award has been presented in Montreux since 1989 and traditionally opens the round of international creative competitions in Europe. No silver and bronze awards are given in Montreux, only gold and finalist awards. The scores are taken into account in various international rankings. Jury members from 19 countries judged works in the main categories TV/Cinema, Print, Poster, Direct Marketing, Digital, Media, Spatial and Event, Corporate Film.

Despite international competition, Swiss advertisers won three gold medals and three Finalist Awards at Lake Geneva in 2014. The most successful agency at the 2014 Golden Award of Montreux was BBDO New York.

Gold went twice to Havas in Poster Illustration for "Fantastic Orchestra" (Zurich Chamber Orchestra) and in Copywriting for "Word Split" (SMH Verlag) as well as to Serviceplan in the Digital/Interactive category for "Soundtree" (BMW). Finalist awards went to Webguerillas in Online Campaign for "KPT Smileball", Iart for Mega Faces in Spatial Communication and for the "Fantastic Orchestra" in Print Entertainment. Two more gold medals with Swiss relevance were awarded to the German agency Heimat for their work for Swisscom "All eyes on S4" in Event and Ambient Media.

No silver and bronze awards are given in Montreux, only gold and finalist awards. The ratings are taken into account in various international rankings. Jury members from 18 countries judged works in the seven main categories TV/Cinema, Print, Poster, Direct Marketing, Digital, Media and Event.

At the Golden Award of Montreux, Havas was awarded a gold medal, and Publicis and Iart each received a Finalist Award.

Havas won Gold with the radio spot "Fading Protest" for VTJE and Finalist Awards for "Snowplow Driver" for Valais Tourism and "Fence of Freedom" for Amnesty International. Publicis received a Finalist Award in the "Print" category, for Garnier Bart. Iart received a Finalist Award in the "Communication in Space" category for "Coca Cola Beatbox."
