Claivaz is currently responsible for several communications projects at SBB, according to an SBB release Wednesday. She studied political science at the University of Lausanne. She has worked for SBB Communications since April 2005 and has held various positions at both the Berne and Lausanne sites. In recent years, she has managed several communications projects, including the festivities celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Lausanne-Geneva railroad line.

Her predecessor Jean-Louis Scherz was SBB's media spokesman for French and German-speaking Switzerland in Berne for the last 15 years. He worked for SBB for a total of 46 years, holding numerous positions in railroad operations and central services.

In addition to Patricia Claivaz in Bern, the two media spokespersons Frédéric Revaz and Jean-Philippe Schmidt in Lausanne will continue to be responsible for media relations in French-speaking Switzerland from September.
