Sackgeldjobs-Börse receives the "Prix Génération"
On March 20, 2013, the «Prix Génération» was awarded for the first time. The award recognized the project that most innovatively supports collaboration between young and old and has a lasting and positive social impact. The winner was the «Sackgeldjobs-Börse.».
In December 2012, the Axa Foundation Generation Dialogue, together with Hub Zurich and the support of the magazine Schweizer Familie, launched the "Prix Génération" - a funding program for intergenerational initiatives and entrepreneurial concepts. After a pre-selection of all projects submitted by February 28 by the Axa Foundation Generation Dialogue and Hub Zurich, the seven finalists presented their ideas to the jury, which included Kurt Aeschbacher, on March 20, 2013.
According to the press release, Mich Wyser and Michi Kessler came out on top with their "Sackgeldjobs-Börse" project. The project convinced the jury because it meets a social need, offers young people an opportunity to take on responsibility and promotes interaction between young and old. "The online platform 'Sackgeldjobs-Börse' arranges sack money jobs from adults and older people to young people who are not working. This enables contact between adults and young people that would otherwise not take place. In addition, the pocket money jobs encourage young people to handle money responsibly," says jury member Regula Schenkel, explaining the decision. Winner Mich Wyser was completely surprised and was lost for words after the award ceremony: "I would never have expected to win the Prix Génération and am overjoyed that we can now implement the Sackgeldjobs exchange with the support of the Axa Foundation Generation Dialogue and the HUB."
The winners of the "Prix Génération" receive the exclusive title of "Hub Fellow", access to the Hub's workspace and infrastructure, active use of the Hub network and twelve months of support in the implementation of their project with a total value of over CHF 50,000.
