Decline in advertising sales in May
Advertising statistics Wemf's Advertising Index Switzerland (AIS) has calculated advertising sales of CHF 339 million for May. This is 1.7 percent less than in the same month last year.
Advertising statistics Wemf's Advertising Index Switzerland (AIS) has calculated advertising sales of CHF 339 million for May. Only the insurance (+41.5%) and administration/politics (+36.5%) sectors made significantly higher investments than in 2004. For SME companies and the transport sector, the AIS shows clear declines in advertising turnover (-24.8% and -12.4% respectively). All other sectors are at most 10% below or above the same month of the previous year. The media industry recorded a drop of 8.4%.
