The Swiss building automation specialist GA.TEC has comprehensively revamped its brand identity together with the Zurich-based creative agency Rosarot. GA.TEC develops smart automation solutions for buildings, which significantly reduce energy consumption, operating costs and the risk of failure. The aim of the rebranding was to make the company's technological expertise and sustainable claim visible in its brand identity in future.

Smart branding for smart buildings

The new branding is based on the idea of the «networked building». Rosarot translated this approach into a modular design system that visually picks up on the functionality of building automation. Through various extensions, the logo, which is reminiscent of a building block, conveys both the networking and technical precision of buildings. In animated form, it incorporates the central brand values «Smart», «Sustainable» and «Personal».

The graphic appearance also follows this principle: a modular pattern of logo elements interlocks and stands for individually configurable solutions - matching the customized automation systems from GA.TEC. The color scheme with a dominant green palette underlines the focus on energy efficiency and sustainable building technology. It is complemented by typography that gives the appearance a precise and technological feel.

From the brand to the digital application

The new appearance was developed as a comprehensive design system. In addition to the logo, color scheme and typography, it also includes the design of all communication media - from business stationery and presentation templates to the new website gatec.ch. The result is a brand world that consistently conveys what GA.TEC stands for: intelligent systems for buildings that function more efficiently, sustainably and economically.
