Peter Streicher becomes COO of the Habegger Group

Habegger's Board of Directors has appointed Peter Streicher as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Habegger Group. He will take over the responsibilities of Christof Murer effective October 1, 2015; Murer will be leaving the company after seven years as managing director.

"Peter Streicher will ideally complement the Habegger Group's management team with his many years of experience and knowledge," says Simon Ackermann, Chairman of the Board of Directors, adding: "Our new COO knows the company and the industry inside out and has spent years leading major international projects and celebrating great success as a manager. In other words, he has the best mix for successfully overseeing large-scale projects and managing internal processes at the same time."

Peter Streicher has international experience in the field of live communication and previously worked for several years at George P. Johnson as managing director for several years. He started his career in 1999 as a technical project manager at George P. Johnson and was appointed Managing Director in 2005. From 2012, he was responsible for the company's entire European business.

Personnel changes at the Habegger Group

The role of CEO, which Christof Murer has held for seven years, will be taken over by Simon Ackermann, Chairman of the Board of Directors, on October 1, 2015. Simon Ackermann will assume strategic and operational responsibility for the locations in Switzerland (Zurich and Bern), Austria (Münchendorf) and Qatar (Doha). According to the press release, the newly created COO function will inherit some of the former tasks of the CEO function and will therefore be responsible for the further development of operational processes.
