«Oh là là»: Ringier Advertising Celebrates the 2026 Midsummer Party

Amid midsummer temperatures, Ringier Advertising hosted a Midsummer Party at the Mühle Tiefenbrunnen on Thursday. Thomas Passen and Ladina Heimgartner kept their remarks brief—afterward, rosé, cocktails, fans, and the dance floor took center stage. m&k was there and, for once, let the pictures speak for themselves.

Talking is silver, celebrating is gold. At least on this evening at the Mühle Tiefenbrunnen. Thomas Passen, Managing Director of Ringier Advertising, and Ladina Heimgartner, CEO of Ringier Media Switzerland, set the tone in their welcoming remarks for what would later apply to the m&k video as well: don’t talk too long.

With temperatures that would have done even a midsummer festival proud, Ringier Advertising welcomed customers, partners, and employees to the 2026 Midsummer Party. «At least in terms of the weather, this is the hottest party of the year,» Passen remarked right at the start. He left the rest up to the guests: «You’ll make sure it gets just as hot later on.»

A little business is a must

In the end, it wasn't entirely without business talk. Passen used his brief remarks to provide an overview of the development of the marketing portfolio. In addition to Ringier Medien Schweiz's own portfolio, he mentioned, among others, blue News, yallo TV, and DAZN.

In fact, Ringier Advertising has recently expanded its portfolio significantly. Since early 2026, the company has been the exclusive marketer for yallo TV, followed in June by DAZN for the Swiss market. With blue News, Ringier Advertising was able to continue its long-standing partnership following another pitch. Passen also announced further news regarding blue News and the Blick Group for the fall.

Ladina Heimgartner then kept her remarks even shorter, in keeping with the summer spirit. She thanked the team at Ringier Advertising and the clients in attendance—and then sent the guests on their way to where they’d been eager to go all along: the party.

Oh là là!

And that’s when things took a French turn. The theme of the evening was dedicated to our colleagues from French-speaking Switzerland and brought a touch of the French Riviera to Lake Zurich. «Oh là là!» was certainly the perfect fit for an evening where the fans were more than just decoration.

Beer and rosé flowed freely, as did alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Anyone who wanted to take home a memento could have their portrait taken or get creative in front of the self-timer photo booth. Later, the raffle—with its attractive prizes—added to the excitement.

Above all, though, the exceptionally lively and friendly atmosphere stood out. Conversations, laughter, hugs, fans waving—and, of course, eventually the dance floor.

When Pictures Tell More

Normally, a microphone is part of an m&k event video. People are asked for their opinions, statements are recorded, and voices are edited together. That evening, however, it seemed almost unnecessary.

After all, sometimes a party speaks for itself when it comes to how great it was. That’s why, for once, the video for the 2026 Midsummer Party does away with quotes and lets the music, faces, and moving images do the talking.

Or, to put it slightly differently: Talking is silver. Partying is gold.
