Profit rose from CHF 1.1 million in the previous year to CHF 2.4 million. The result is remarkable because BM had to record a reduction in turnover in the 2001/2002 financial year due to the sale of Jean Frey AG. This amounted to only 311.9 million francs compared to 512.2 million francs in the previous year.
New magazine for gay community Gay.ch will also be available on paper in future. The monthly magazine, named Quickmag, will be published for the first time on December 6 and is aimed at "people from the scene". It is being launched by the company Alcontex in Baar, which already runs Gay.ch.
