Mittelland newspapers: The foreigners stay outside

Newspapers The all-clear for Peter Wanner: Mittelland Zeitung (MZ) remains firmly in local hands and Zurich-based asset management firm Albin Kistler Partner has called off an attempt to acquire shares in the publishing houses of Aargauer Zeitung (AZ), Oltner Tagblatt and Zofinger Tagblatt. According to Radio DRS, the success of purchase offers in the NZZ remained minimal: only two shareholders came forward. AZ publisher Wanner had expressed concern that the shares in the MZ titles could migrate out of the region and later end up in the possession of a competitor.
