Give the gift of education with an NZZ subscription

The agency Studio Roth&Maerchy has developed a Christmas subscription campaign for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung.

"For around 800,000 people in Switzerland, every word is a salad of letters". The Neue Zürcher Zeitung is dedicating this year's Christmas campaign to this topic. The NZZ is offering its readers a Christmas subscription and combining this with the promotion of an educational project: the proceeds of every subscription sold will be donated to the Swiss Literacy and Basic Education Foundation SAGS, which provides further education for those affected by reading and writing difficulties.

The design concept of the campaign brings the problem of reading difficulties to life in a subtle way and shows the challenges those affected face on a daily basis.

Studio Roth&Maerchy is responsible for the development and implementation of the Christmas campaign. It can be seen on posters, subscription cards, in advertisements and various digital applications until the end of the year.

Responsible at NZZ: Christian Stieger (Head of Customer Management), Markus Sollberger (Direct Marketing Customer Management). Responsible at Studio Roth&Maerchy: Martin Roth (creative direction, text), Véronique Cuennet (art direction, graphics, illustration), Patrick Oberholzer (animations).
