Microsoft strengthens Programmatic Advertising
Microsoft Advertising Switzerland is expanding and has hired Hannes Eckardt as Sales Solution Specialist for Switzerland and Austria in the growing programmatic advertising segment.
In the newly created role, Eckardt is responsible for the strategic and operational development and growth of the Programmatic Advertising business unit at the global marketer of digital advertising space in Switzerland. The field of activity covers the entire business development as well as the sales process - from lead generation to closing and after-sales support for advertisers, agencies, trading desks and channel partners.
The 35-year-old comes from the international advertising marketer Publicitas Basel, where he was initially responsible for the Swiss market for the last four years and later, as Digital Sales Director EMEA, drove the digital media business in Europe, looked after blue chip clients and also successfully established the Programmatic Advertising business area. Before that, the business administration graduate had already worked as an international sales representative for digital media such as Spiegel Online; another station was Havas Media in Frankfurt.
According to Vanessa Marr, Managing Director of Microsoft Advertising Switzerland, the company intends to strongly expand its position in the area of programmatic advertising in the coming year. "With our high qualitative benchmarks as well as our well-known products Skype, MSN, Outlook.com and Xbox Live, we are ideally equipped for our market partners - the agencies, trading desks and also advertisers - to meet the increasing market demand for quality in the programmatic advertising environment," says Marr, who has been at the helm of the marketer since November (Werbewoche.ch reported).
