Michelle Hunziker is no longer brand ambassador for UPC
The contract between UPC and Michelle Hunziker was not renewed. Her endorsement deal with Emmentaler is also coming to an end this year.

Italian-Swiss presenter Michelle Hunziker is no longer brand ambassador for cable network operator UPC as of the end of January. The contract with UPC Switzerland already ended at the end of August 2017 and was not renewed, as the Handelszeitung and writes in its Thursday edition. The rights of use of image and video material have been valid in Switzerland until the end of October 2017.
"In Austria, Michelle Hunziker can still be used as a brand ambassador until the end of January 2018," a UPC spokeswoman said in response.
The partnership between UPC and Hunziker was announced in July 2016 (Werbewoche.ch reported). The teaser film announced the shortly thereafter launched Campaign of Scholz & Friends Zurich. Later she also appeared among others in the Trailer spot for the Zurich Film Festival, which UPC sponsored. In May 2017, she stood in the #Michelling-campaign, created by Scholz & Friends Zurich and Y&R Vienna, for the last time in front of the camera for UPC.
In addition to the end of the agreement with UPC, the brand ambassador contract with the Emmentaler cheese brand is also coming to an end. "The multi-year contract with Michelle Hunziker will come to an orderly end at the end of March 2018," says Stefan Gasser, Director Emmentaler Switzerland. Hunziker was introduced as the brand's brand ambassador in May 2015 as part of an international campaign created by Leo Burnett Switzerland (Werbewoche.ch reported). (hae/pd)
