Media Star Award for Urs Peter Naef
On Saturday, the second Media Night took place at the Kongresshaus in Zurich. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the second Media Star Award, which honored former Migros media spokesperson Urs Peter Naef. Beatrice Tschanz delivered the laudatory speech.
After the successful start of the Media Night (formerly the Press & Media Ball) in the past year gala guests, including numerous Swiss celebrities, were not disappointed at this year's second edition. After the red carpet and a champagne aperitif, guests were given a musical welcome in the ballroom by Pepe Lienhard and orchestra. The evening was hosted by Rainer Maria Salzgeber. The evening program was peppered with surprises and was very well received by the guests, according to the statement. "We are pleased to report an increase in guests already at our second media night. The guests seem to like the new, more modern version of the press and media ball," says the happy organizer Karina Berger.

Honor for professional merits
This year's Media Star Award was presented to Urs Peter Naef. Naef, who worked for 13 years as media spokesman and head of external communications in the Corporate Communications Directorate of the Migros Cooperative, was visibly moved by the honor. Especially when Beatrice Tschanz began her laudatory speech and praised the award winner in the highest terms for his work, commitment and professionalism. Urs Peter Naef owes a great deal to her professionally, as she shaped him into a journalist and brought him into both the Jelmoli and Swissair communications teams. The very personal words aroused emotions in both the honoree and the guests.
The winner was chosen by a jury consisting of President Christoph Richterich (Richterich & Partner), Franca Siegfried (Board Member Zürcher Pressverein), Dominique Morel (President HarbourClub), Roger Baur (IAB Switzerland), Christian Wick (President Zürcher PR-Gesellschaft) and Thomas Russenberger (Russen&Berger). The approximately 700 guests and VIPs from the media landscape, business, culture, politics, PR and communications afterwards until the early hours of the morning.
