Maybaum Film: Myths filmed for Victorinox
Following the huge success of the film «The Exchange» from the Swiss Myths trilogy, the Baden-based production company Maybaum Film was once again commissioned by Victorinox Swiss Army to bring ancient Swiss myths to life.
Where the first part took up the story of Heidi and Alpöhi, the second film is devoted to another, equally well-known Swiss myth. Under the name "The Bet", the story of William Tell and Walter was reinterpreted.
Based on the script by Victorinox Swiss Army, the emotional story of father and son was filmed against the backdrop of the Bernese Oberland. Walter, in the meantime a gifted sport archer, is challenged by Wilhelm to a competition, crossbow against bow. Who emerges as the winner in the end shall not be revealed at this point.
The natural postcard beauty with mountains and lakes as well as two down-to-earth actors serve as likeable ambassadors for Switzerland in the online campaign launched worldwide. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the second film also fits harmoniously into the film trilogy. Planning for the third part has already begun.
Responsible at Victorinox Swiss Army: Sébastien Rytz, Jonathan Keller.
