Lukas Sustala becomes Editor-in-Chief of NZZ.at
Michael Fleischhacker would like to focus more on his roles as a writer and host at NZZ.at and expand his involvement with ServusTV. For this reason, he is handing over the editorship to NZZ.at editor Lukas Sustala.

At the beginning of November, Lukas Sustala, the former Chief of Service and Economics Editor of NZZ.at, will succeed Michael Fleischhacker in the role of NZZ.at Editor-in-Chief. Lukas Sustala is one of Austria's most respected business journalists and a proven expert on banking and finance. Since 2015, he has also been a lecturer in media economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. "Lukas Sustala already bears a great deal of responsibility for the day-to-day management of NZZ.at and is held in high esteem both journalistically and as a leader," says Anita Zielina, Editor-in-Chief New Products at NZZ. Like his predecessor, Lukas Sustala will report journalistically to the Editor-in-Chief of Neue Zürcher Zeitung Eric Gujer.
At his own request, the former NZZ.at editor-in-chief Michael Fleischhacker will concentrate more on what he likes best: writing and moderating. As before, he will continue to write his columns several times a week and publish his Saturday newsletter for subscribers. He will also continue to host NZZ.at club evenings. "As the newly sole host of the weekly 'Talk im Hangar 7' on ServusTV, I will spend two days a week in Salzburg. But since managing the NZZ.at editorial team requires daily presence, I will focus on writing and moderating at NZZ.at. I look forward to continuing to work for NZZ.at, which I believe is important for Austria and its media landscape," explains Michael Fleischhacker. In his author role, he will remain an important voice of NZZ.at and of liberal thought in Austria.
