Liestal goes national

Daily newspapers From September 4, the Basellandschaftliche Zeitung (bz) in Liestal will have an advertising connection to the big wide German-speaking part of Switzerland - thanks to its competitor Basler Zeitung (BaZ), because the bz is now a co-publisher of the former BaZ job advertisement Stellefant and adds it to its own newspaper on Saturdays (see p. 16). This gives it access to job advertisements from the national market. Conversely, BaZ benefits from the better coverage in WG 31, but bz gains more: in future, it will also be able to access job advertisements from the Swisspool and its successor Metropool via Stellefant. "However, this only applies to Saturday job ads," emphasizes BaZ publishing director Daniel Sommer. Interesting: bz publisher Mathis Lüdin only realized his double luck when he received the Werbewoche inquiry.
