Better reception instead of new transmitters

Radio In the consultation on Bakom's VHF study, the government of the canton of Basel-Stadt spoke out in favor of scenario 3, which envisages achieving the best possible quality of VHF coverage for existing broadcasters instead of freeing up new frequencies. The Government Council considers the maintenance or improvement of reception quality to be significantly more important than the quantitative expansion of program offerings.
