"To each his own personal Coca-Cola".
A personalized brand campaign by the company, called «Share a Coca-Cola,» is launching here in Switzerland these days. Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Light, and Coca-Cola Zero bottles will feature the 150 most common Swiss first names and nicknames.
The personalized drink is now available in stores. Fans are given the opportunity to share photos with "their" bottles online or send virtual cans to friends via a Facebook app. As a summer highlight, consumers can have their personalized Coca-Cola cans made on the spot with a name of their choice at selected events. In addition, fans can share "Coca-Cola moments" captured on photos with their personalized bottles using #shareacocacola via Twitter, Instagram and Co. or via the campaign's own online platform Shareacocacola.ch share
The campaign is accompanied by classic TV commercials as well as advertisements and posters. During the summer, consumers can have their own Coca-Cola cans made with a name of their choice in retail stores, public places, or at selected events such as the Greenfield Festival.
The aim of the "Share a Coca-Cola" campaign is to strengthen the personal connection between consumers and the products in this country. "Although Coca-Cola's roots are in the USA, there is an unexpected amount of Swissness in our products. The campaign underlines this local anchoring and strengthens the relationship with our Swiss consumers in the most direct way possible," explains Matthias Schneider, Head of Corporate Communications at Coca-Cola Switzerland.
