A music special every other week

Press: 20 Minuten Week Acquires Good News Magazine.

Press 20 Minuten Week swallows Good News magazine Concert promoter Good News is giving up its magazine. The previous publication frequency (ten times a year) was no longer sufficient in view of the speed of electronic media, writes Managing Director André Béchir in the editorial of the current issue. As the costs of increasing frequency are enormous, a partner was sought and found in 20 Minuten Week. From March 31, subscribers to the Good News magazine will receive 20 Minuten Week every 14 days, in which parts of the magazine will be integrated. 20 Minuten Managing Director Rolf Bollmann confirms that the main features of the cooperation have been agreed. However, details such as the launch date have not yet been finalized, he told Werbewoche. According to Bollmann, the Good News magazine will disappear as a separate product, as will the short version, which was previously integrated into the daily edition of 20 Minuten on a monthly basis. Instead, 20 Minuten Week will be published every two weeks as a music special. The content will be produced entirely by 20 Minuten, emphasizes Bollmann. Good News only provides information.
20 Minuten Week can thus increase its circulation from 60,000 to 900,000 copies and will also be distributed by subscription for the first time. The advertising rates are to be increased accordingly. Ringier is expected to take over the printing of 20 Minuten Week from the AZ Medien Group. The Zurich-based media company holds a 44 percent stake in Good News. However, negotiations have not yet been concluded.
