Posters Despite their extraordinary popularity at the time, theater posters from the Victorian era have largely been forgotten today, as the stylistic innovations of the French poster from the end of the 19th century superseded the charm of its British counterpart, which clearly set itself apart from official art and was entirely dedicated to the narrative-folkloristic tradition. From July 19, the poster collection of the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich at the Swiss National Bank will be showing a number of works by old masters such as Dudley Hardy and John Hassall.
