Real estate industry fears rising tariffs

Real estate advertisements in newspapers and on online platforms could become noticeably more expensive, as Urs Gribi, President of the Association of the Swiss Real Estate Industry (Svit), expressed his fears at the Real Estate Forum in Lenk. He is following Tamedia's entry into the real estate portal Homegate.ch with great skepticism, said Gribi. If publishers also became active in the Internet classifieds sector and entered into cooperations, the risk of monopolization and thus higher prices would increase.
