Brilliant result without highlights
This year, 20 out of 21 graduates passed the advanced professional examination to become communications managers. However, with a top grade of 4.8, there were no outstanding individual results.
This year's candidates were clearly well prepared, according to a press release. With a pass rate of 95 percent, the 2013 examination year achieved a brilliant result overall. However, there were no real highlights or high-flyers as in other years. Stefan Hauser, information officer for the city of Wil SG, and Manuel Wirz from Peter Wirz in Zurich both achieved the best average grade of 4.8 (photo). For once this year, male graduates predominated with twelve out of 21 participants. It is also astonishing that only nine participants took advantage of the opportunity to take the exam on a PC. This broad success is all the more remarkable given that the graduates had to make major financial and time sacrifices to obtain their diploma. The private and professional burden of in-service training has tended to increase in recent years, as indicated by an increasing number of drop-outs due to overload or health problems in the run-up to the examination.
