Gemi July: TV and radio grow steadily, internet loses ground

In a stable overall market, advertising pressure on TV, radio and electronic media continues to rise. Internet and teletext are suffering losses, while ad screen is growing again. This is shown by the Goldbach Index (Gemi) July 2013 for advertising pressure.

With an increase of six index points, Adscreen returned to growth and closed July with 614 (608) index points. With a loss of just one index point compared to the previous month, Teletext closed at 69 (70), while Internet dropped eight index points to 747 (755).

TV and radio continue to show constant growth. At 636 (635) index points, TV gained one index point compared to the previous month, while radio closed with an increase of four index points to 424 (420). Electronic media as a whole gained one index point to close at 639 (638), while the overall market remained stable at 237 (237) index points.
