CROWDFUNDING What may be the biggest collective art project of the year has begun. The Fotitram is a project that everyone can actively help shape: An entire VBZ tram will be decorated with photos and messages! The initiative aims to showcase how diverse and livable Zurich is.In total, supporters of the idea have 1,000,000 cm² at their disposal. The images will be assembled into a collage and displayed on a tram. The art project is scheduled to travel through Zurich for six months starting in the spring of 2016.Fotitram by WirSindZürichThe Fotitram was launched by the WirSindZürich community group. Through special initiatives, they are working to make Zurich even more beautiful. „The city of Zurich is close to our hearts. It’s diverse and vibrant, and each of us is a part of it. This way, we can all show together what makes our city special,“ says Tim Schlichting, chair of the WirSindZürich interest group.Platform for Businesses, TooEvery supporter gets a spot on the tram and can decide for themselves, by choosing the amount they want to contribute, how many square centimeters they’d like for their image. There are (almost) no limits when it comes to choosing an image. In addition to individuals who want to showcase themselves, their beloved cat, or their racing bike, companies can also use the platform to demonstrate their ties to Zurich. Special corporate packages are available for this purpose, allowing companies to book spaces featuring 50, 100, or 200 images.
